Narrative Sentiment

We measure what traders are reading — not what markets are doing. Narrative shapes decisions before price moves.

Unlike Fear & Greed, NSI measures media narrative tone — not price, volume, or derivatives data

These three signals process the same underlying news feed through different lenses. NSI uses weighted keyword scoring. Psychology maps tone to behavioral bias patterns. Signal Brief uses AI synthesis per asset. Convergence across all three increases interpretive confidence — divergence is equally informative.

Why This Is Different
Fear & Greed Index measures price momentum, volume, social media sentiment, dominance, and Google Trends. It reflects what markets are doing.
Narrative Sentiment Index scans editorial tone of financial headlines every 30 minutes. It reflects what traders are reading — the narrative they consume before making decisions.
The hypothesis being tested: narrative leads price, while Fear & Greed lags it. This will be validated or rejected transparently once 60 days of data exist.
